SHOWREEL 2024
With over 33 VFX shots, I had the pleasure of supervising and creating all visual effects for the cinematic and VFX-heavy music video Heroes Are Calling by Smash Into Pieces.
The same song performed live with large-scale visuals behind the band during Melodifestivalen 2024. The visuals were originally developed for the live stage show and later adapted into the officialmusic video in close collaboration with Indept Filmproduktion.
A personal project and a deep dive into Unreal Engine and its capabilities for cinematic and real-time storytelling.
VFX
I'm David, a passionate VFX artist from Västerås, Sweden, currently freelancing as a 3D Generalist.
Previously, I spent four years at the award-winning studio Important Looking Pirates, contributing to world-class visual effects. My work spans across high-profile productions like Lost in Space, Stranger Things, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix adaptation), Dune: Prophecy (Max), as well as VFX for music artists and bands.
In 2024, I had the pleasure of creating all the VFX LED content for Smash Into Pieces when they competed in Melodifestivalen with "Heroes Are Calling", which secured third place in the finals! A huge endeavor that I take immense pride in.
In 2026 I'm available for consulting and freelance work with experience in product animations, commercial and corporate related visuals!
